Simple Present Tense

Simple Present Tense adalah bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan atau kegiatan yang berlangsung atau terjadi pada waktu sekarang dalam bentuk sederhana. Digunakan juga untuk menyatakan suatu tindakan atau pekerjaan yang dilakukan berulang-ulang, sebuah rutinitas atau kebiasaan sehari-hari. Bentuk ini juga digunakan pada kalimat yang tidak ada kaitannya dengan waktu.

Simple Present Tense, terdiri dari:

1. Kalimat Verbal (dengan kata kerja)

A. Posstive Sentence (kalimat pernyataan)

I, You, We, They

Subject + Predicate Verb 1

They visit uncle every Sunday.

I ussualy use this bag.

You go to the cinema

He, She, It

Subject + Predicate Verb 1-s/es

He works hard everyday

She studies slowly at house.

It runs quickly around the yard.

B. Negative Sentence (Kalimat menyangkal)

I, You, We, They

Subject + Do not + Verb 1

I do not take the rubber.

We do not come that night.

They do not let me go.

He, She, It

Subject + Does not + Verb 1

He does not tell it.

She does not clean all plate.

It does not bark me.

C. Interrogative Sentence (Kalimat tanya)

            I, You, We, They

            Do + Subject + Predicate Verb 1

            Do you think that he is a good man?

            Do they want me to join?

            Do you excuse me to leave now?

He, She, It

Does + Subject + Predicate Verb 1

Does he command you?

Does she teach you?

Does it run around yard?

2. Kalimat non Verbal (tanpa kata kerja)

Betuk nonverbal dibantu dengan “To be” yang disesuaikan dengan Subjek dalam kalimat.

I          Am       Saya

You       Are      Kamu

He        Is         Dia (laki-laki)

She      Is         Dia (perempuan)

It         Is         Dia (selain manusia)

Tapi arti it bisa berubah sesuai fungsi dalam kalimat yg akan kita pelajari lebih lanjut annti.

We       Are      Kami

They    Are      Mereka

You       Are      Kamu/kalian

A. Possitive Sentence (Kalimat pernyataan)

Subject + To be + Predicate Nonverb

I am hungry now.

You are diligent boy.

He is Handsome boy.

She is smart girl.

It is very chubby.

We are students.

They are civilians.

You are success.

B. Negative Sentence (kalimat menyangkal)

Subject + To be + Not + Predicate Nonverb

I am not lazy.

You are not wicked.

He is not an officer.

She is not afraid.

They are not slow.

We are not bad.

C. Interogative Sentence (Kalimat bertanya)

To be + Subject + Predicate Nonverb

Am I false?

Are you brave?

Is she clever?

Is he stupid?

Is it fast?

Are they guards?

Are we students?
